WatermarkPointe is pleased to announce the reveal of its sponsored mural “Harmony by the Sea” at the NRNY Artsy Murals held this past Saturday at 134 North Avenue in New Rochelle. During the month of October, prominent street artists from all around the world colored downtown New Rochelle to create 8 spectacular murals.
Event-goers took part in an inspiring walk curated by Street Art for Mankind for the city of New Rochelle to reflect the unique creativity, diversity and forward-thinking of one of the largest cities of Westchester. The Art Walk was immediately followed by an Artsy Party.
Spanish artist, Lula Goce was chosen to create WatermarkPointe’s sponsored mural which represents harmony between urban life and nature. Born in Galicia, Spain, Lula grew up influenced by the salty coastal air and the beautiful beaches this region of Spain is famous for. She has been taking part in urban art festivals around the world and participated in projects in art centres in Salamanca, Barcelona, Madrid, and Mexico. She has also held exhibitions in Long Beach, CA, Viena, Paris and in Italy.
“We are thrilled to be a sponsor of NRNY Artsy Murals and the Harmony by the Sea mural,” said Jerrold G. Bermingham, Executive Vice President at NRDC. We are inspired by Lula’s artistic creativity and the special connection she’s creating between the New Rochelle community and the Long Island Sound.”
